Museum Court, Camelford
Three high-quality family homes in the heart of Camelford, created on a small infill site with smart design and lasting community value.
Client: 5D
Project Value: £0.8m
Duration: 11 months
Location: Camelford, Cornwall
Museum Court comprised the construction of three high-quality family homes in the centre of Camelford, completing a partially delivered site that had been stalled by a previous developer.
Although privately developed, the homes were deliberately priced at accessible levels, meeting a clear local need for attainable home ownership within the town. This reflects our wider commitment to delivering well-built, energy-efficient homes that serve the communities in which we work, whether through Registered Providers or directly to local buyers.
Design refinements were made through a non-material amendment, improving internal layouts, daylighting, and building levels to achieve better-proportioned living spaces. External works included enhancements to the stone boundary wall adjoining the public skate park, providing a more attractive and durable border between private and community land.
The scheme was delivered efficiently, on a constrained infill site, demonstrating the team’s ability to unlock small urban plots and add lasting value to existing neighbourhoods through thoughtful, context-sensitive design.
